Most people end up here because they are trying to figure out how to stay healthy. That’s understandable. Sometimes it’s hard to know if you’re making the right choices. But staying healthy doesn’t actually have to be as hard as we make it. In fact, we often overcomplicate it because it seems like there are so many things to look after.
Knowledge is the key to making these choices with confidence.
When you know what’s going on with your body, it’s easier to make choices that are good for your health. That could mean making the choice to follow a specific diet, or working with your doctor to chose the right medication. I’m here to help you understand your body and how it works, what you can do, and how the choices you make change the way your body works – for the worse, or for the better.
Ultimately, the question of how to stay healthy has a different answer for every person. It’s up to each of us to find the lifestyle and level of effort that results in the health that we want. It’s a balance between the level of effort we want to put in (like choosing to manage diabetes with diet and exercise, rather than medication) and the level of health we are happy to live with.
My goal for you is to be willing and able to ask questions. I want you to feel able to take an active role in your own health. The complex topics of health and body function can be translated into plain english. This allows you to be confident in making healthy choices for your lifestyle and health care, and confident that you are doing the right thing for your health and your body.
